And so it begins . . .
I’ll be doing mini-posts like this Mon-Fri (this week and next) to announce the stops. One lucky person who comments (at the blog tour posts, not here) will win a free ebook subscription. So, 10 stops, 10 winners. 🙂
Our fourth stop on the trip will be at Susan Meyers‘s place. I’ll be explaining a little bit about the inspiration behind THE FAIRY GODMOTHER DILEMMA and how I met Nerissa, the fairy godmother in question. 😉
Myles slouched in the saddle, more than a little displeased. When Baldemar had promised that he’d see what he could do, Myles had thought it would be something along the lines of asking the king to appeal to the council. He had not anticipated only being allowed to use his magic if he went along with the prince in search of the “most beautiful and perfect dog in all the kingdoms.”
“Could be worse,” Hald said, making sure Myles’s kit was tied firmly in place. The horse whickered, and Hald pulled two apples out of his vest. He gave one to the horse and took a bite of the other. “You could be in my place, stuck here at the castle. Having to eat regular meals and explore the library. And having to sleep on those awful mattresses full of goose down.”
“Don’t make me forget myself, Hald,” Myles said through his teeth. “I would hate for a gray spotted fire-bellied newt to come in the way of the quest.”
“They don’t exist and we haven’t got any.” Hald pushed the horse away as it leaned toward his apple. He took another big bite.
Myles glared down at his cousin who was too busy trying to save his apple from the horse to mind him. “Not yet, we don’t. But I could change that.”
