THE FAIRY GODMOTHER DILEMMA Blog Tour Day 1

And so it begins . . .

I’ll be doing mini-posts like this Mon-Fri (this week and next) to announce the stops. One lucky person who comments (at the blog tour posts, not here) will win a free ebook subscription. So, 10 stops, 10 winners. 🙂

Our first stop on the trip will be at Christine Fonseca‘s place. She interviewed me on the whys and wherefores of publishing my novel as a serial. Christine is heading her own publishing diversity tour this week, so be sure to check it out.

Christine is the author of EMOTIONAL INTENSITY IN GIFTED STUDENTS and 101 SUCCESS SECRETS FOR GIFTED KIDS

Also: Chapter 5 is up.

Here’s an excerpt. You can read the whole thing here.

Nerissa pursed her lips and crossed her arms.

Why had she expected this Damsel in Distress—this DID—to be any different from the others? She had been raised by fairies, after all. Her DID had the typical willowy figure and sweet face that would make all the princes in the land go charging for their noble white steeds and a perfect sunset.

The red curls and brown eyes were a nice change though. So was the scowl.

“Breena, my dear,” Feylinda said in airy tones, “this is your fairy godmother.” She gestured toward Nerissa with a languid arm, the sleeves of her wine-colored gown falling in perfect ripples to the ground. Feylinda smiled as she reclined back into her throne. Very likely pleased with herself for managing her problem into Nerissa’s direction.

The DID with the very unfortunate name curtseyed, her eyes dark. She kept her gaze locked firmly on the ground and her posture stiff. Nerissa had yet to meet a DID that didn’t have perfect posture.

“Very happy to meet you.” Nerissa could get away with the lie because she hadn’t said who was happy to meet her. Magic was specific like that, and it was nice to find loopholes every now and then. She stifled a sneeze and blew her nose.

Feylinda gave her a reproving look and the DID pressed her lips together, the corners of her mouth curing into a frown.
