The castle was unusually quiet, and the sky had been threatening a severe downpour for the last few days. But that wasn’t what was making Breena’s hair stand on end.
The cats were hiding something, she could feel it in the sideways looks they gave her and the heavy silences she was always greeted with when she entered a room. Her fairy godmother was nowhere to be found, but that was hardly surprising. The thing that most worried her was that Natter or Blossom, whoever she was, was missing as well.
